PLANNED GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
PSIA-AASI EDUCATION FOUNDATION LEGACY SOCIETY
WHY PLANNED GIVING?
Your deferred planned gift allows for an easy way to have a profound impact on the future of PSIA-AASI as it helps to ensure sustainability of our foundation into the future, and leave a legacy for snowsports instruction for generations to come. There are various financial mechanisms by which an individual can make a planned gift.
WHAT IS A DEFERRED GIFT?
Planned gifts are ‘deferred’ because PSIA-AASI Education Foundation receives proceeds only after the donor passes away. A deferred planned gift does not impact a donor’s financial situation in their lifetime, but has a profound impact on the future of the organization. Donors can designate their deferred gifts to certain programs or initiatives, or simply indicate that these gifts be used where they are needed most.
HOW TO MAKE A PLANNED GIFT
-
Bequests are one of the simplest, most impactful, and most popular ways to make a planned gift. They make up over 9% of all charitable giving in the USA. 90% of planned gifts are given as bequests.
In order to make a bequest, simply allocate a portion of your estate to PSIA-AASI Education Foundation in your legal will. Gifts can be allocated as cash, stock or other assets. They can be named as a specific value (i.e. $20,000) or a percentage of the donor’s total estate value (e.g., 10% of an estate of $1 million would be $100,000 to charity.) -
Donors can name PSIA-AASI Education Foundation as the beneficiary of their life insurance policies or unused retirement assets. These can include individual retirement accounts (IRAs), 401(k)s, 403(b)s, or pensions.
Donors simply name the Foundation as the beneficiary of an existing policy or plan.
Please consult with your financial, legal and tax advisors to advise on your specific giving situation.
